CK5 diesel locomotive is designed for Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries, which is meter-gauged hydraulic-diesel shunting locomotive.
CK5 diesel locomotive consists of brake room, driver’s cab, transmission room, power room and cooling room. Its power is 515kW, and weight in working order is 60t. This locomotive is installed with Cummins KT38-L diesel engine, ZJ2007Y hydraulic transmission box, two units of two-axle bogies and cardody with outside corridor. The fuel tank is fixed beneath the middle of the main frame with batteries on both sides. This locomotive is also installed with Wabco27LA air brake and KnorrW450/150-3 air compressor, which makes it possible to brake the locomotive independently or together with the whole train.
This locomotive adopts hydraulic reversing technology, so that can achieve the reversing without stopping the locomotive. The strong and fixed power transmission device and bogies can meet the requirement of heavy load hauling under the low-speed condition. The advanced automatic monitoring system can do the automatic alarming and stop under the abnormal condition. This locomotive has characteristics of advanced technology, good performance, reliable operation and well economical efficiency.
